The Super Bowl in my home gives me an excuse to make some really unhealthy food.
I have no shame. We grub!
There is a time to fast and a time to feast. Super Bowl represents feasting in the Guzman house.
I make sure to cook or prep most of my food on the Friday and Saturday before because who wants to be in the kitchen all day on Super Bowl Sunday, not this Queen! *let’s keep it super real – sometimes this plan doesn’t work and I spend the whole day in the kitchen, I digress*
One of my staples that always shows up on the menu is Buffalo Dip. It’s a house favorite!
This year I went with a wing fest. I actually don’t cook wings often at all so I turned to the internet for some ideas on the favorites that I would normally just buy from someone who loves cooking wings! Let’s get into it:
First Up- Jerk Chicken Wings – Spicy Jamaican Jerk Hot Wings. These style of wings were my personal favorite. They slay for me! Nom Nom.
Second Up – Cilantro Lime Wings – my Dominican mother-in-law and my husband seemed to really enjoy the flavor of these wings, I found them to just be ok. I will obviously try them again on Super Bowl Sunday since it was day one and we know everything tastes better on Day 2, well, almost everything. I’m very happy that they loved them!
And In 3rd Place – Garlic Parmesan Wings – Slow Cooker Style
These wings turned out fine enough-Again not a favorite for me but the fall off the bone goodness that the slow cooker offers seemed to be a hit with the family!
Last but not least here a few of the other items that will debut for Super Bowl party food feasting:
- Biscuit Bacon Burgers
- Biscuit Pizza
- Sweet and Salty Cookies
- Homemade Espresso Chip Ice Ceam
I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope your Super Bowl is filled with good food, good times and great people!
